Importing postcode data

Postcode address lists can be an invaluable tool for creating and maintaining accurate databases, helping you to reduce time typing the full address, the number of returned or undelivered items and sharpen your customer profiling. Youmehub allows you to import postcode address files obtained form your postal office in a variety of formats such as tab or comma separated text files. Once imported you can perform address lookups for any address records by clicking on the search icon in the postcode field.

1. Choose Youmehub > Youmehub Preferences or click the preferences button in the menu bar.
2. Select the CRM tab and then the Postcode tab.
3. Click the import button above the postcode list.
4. Locate your postcode data file and select open.
5. In the Import Field Mapping window match the source field names with the target field names.
6. Click import.

Note: Field names used in Youmehub conform to the UK Royal Mail PAF data file conventions. However, if you are importing postcode data from another source which uses a different field naming convention, you will need to refer to the field definitions list below. Fields marked ‘no’ are not used used by Youmehub.
